Hey, I'm Seth.
I'm a software engineer based in Cincinnati with 5+ years of professional experience building web applications, data systems, and internal tools.
LinkedInI studied Computer Engineering at Iowa State, and I've been writing code professionally since my time interning at Vermeer and building full-stack apps at Kingland. But the two experiences that shaped how I work the most are Kroger and Pantomath.
At Kroger Technology, I spent two years building systems at enterprise scale. The kind that need to be reliable, secure, and maintainable long after you ship them. It gave me a strong foundation in building things that actually last.
Now I'm at Pantomath, an early-stage startup where I wear every hat: frontend, backend, infrastructure, data pipelines, customer-facing work. It's taught me how to move fast, stay scrappy, and focus on what actually matters instead of over-engineering.
I started Seth Builds because I've been building small, purpose-built tools for myself for years, and getting a ton of value out of them. At some point I realized: if these tools make my life easier, there are probably a lot of businesses and professionals out there who'd get the same kind of value from something built the same way.
What I bring to the table
- Full-stack development: React, Next.js, Node.js, TypeScript, databases, cloud infrastructure. I handle the entire stack so you deal with one person, not a team.
- Enterprise experience: I've built systems at Kroger-scale. Your tool gets the same quality of engineering without the enterprise price tag.
- Startup speed: Working at a startup taught me to ship fast, communicate clearly, and focus on what actually matters.
- Built to hand off: I design everything so you can understand it, maintain it, and own it. No vendor lock-in, no black boxes.
